Interstate H2 Northbound
This is the second H-series Interstate to be covered. H-2 runs 8 miles from Pearl City to Wahiawa. You are probably wondering why H-1 (and H-3) are signed east-west and H-2 is signed north-south, which is the opposite of the mainland's setup, and here's the answer, plain and simple: The H-series Interstates are exempt from the normal signing conventions because of the order in which they were built, so this is the second Hawaiian Interstate to be constructed.
Here's the first exit in our northbound trek on H-2.
In eight short miles, this is the end.

Interstate H1 Westbound
Here's another post for you, and this time, we're heading westbound on H-1.
This is the first westbound exit on H-1.
Here, H-201 makes a left exit off its parent and continues as a northern bypass of Honolulu.
At this exit, you can access the western termini of both H-3 and H-201.
H-2 departs to the north, continuing for 8 miles to Wahiawa.
This is the westbound end of H-1, and also where Route 93 continues on the Farrington Highway.

Interstate H1 Eastbound
This is the first official new post of the blog, as we take a look at the many Interstate highways that crisscross our nation. We begin with the H-series Interstates of Hawaii, and we take a look at the eastbound journey on the longest one in the series, Interstate H1 (which is 28 miles long). To further distinguish itself from the mainland Interstates, the H-series use H as the prefix instead of I, and so they will be labeled as such here. So without further ado, here we go with the eastbound trip on H-1:
H-1 begins its eastbound journey here.
H-1 meets the southern terminus of H-2.
H-3 branches off to the east.
Soon afterwards, the only 3di in Hawaii starts here. It is a freeway bypass of Honolulu.
This is the first of many exits serving Honolulu.
H-1 ends here, and Route 72 continues east as a surface road.
