








SR 85 serves as a placeholder for a potential I-11 alignment. Although I-11 is touted as the Phoenix-Las Vegas Interstate, it will most likely never reach Phoenix.





















On the other side of the Colorado River is the Golden State.












Needless to say, when it comes to California state routes, 7 is the ultimate nomad. It was once used a few times on different roads in Los Angeles, including the freeway that now carries the I-710 designation. And one day this edition will be decommissioned in favor of I-7, which would be an upgrade of CA 99 between Mettler Ridge and Sacramento.
























Now approaching the outskirts of San Diego...









The outer beltway, signed as CA 125. On its south end, it meets a future Interstate.













Now the control city has changed to Beaches, which means that the sunny shoreline isn't too far away.



Unlike eastbound I-8, you can take I-5 northbound towards the City of Angels from the westbound side.


I-8 meets its end at an intersection with Sunset Cliffs Boulevard.
