Going south on I-37 this time:
If you take this exit, you can visit the famous Alamo mission that has become San Antonio's main claim to fame.
Loop 1604 is the outer beltway for San Antonio. Despite it mostly being a freeway, there are still some at-grades that also exist.
Coming up on Future I-69W...
And then there's I-69E. The three branches are the first new suffixed interstates since most of the original ones were renumbered in the late 70s and early 80s. However, two splits in I-35 remain (one is in Dallas-Fort Worth, and the other in Minneapolis-St. Paul) because for the most part the cities in each path wanted an equal share of the main route. In both cases, I-35E continues the mileage and exit numbers for I-35, while I-35W acts as a loop/connector with its own separate exits and mileages.
One final look at I-69E before continuing on to Corpus Christi.
And just like that, the freeway ends at Exit 0, but I-37 continues on the connecting surface road for three city blocks towards Shoreline Blvd.
A showcase of the highways in North America. Includes the 48 continental United States, Canada, Alaska and Hawaii.
